About the Nissan Sentra B13
The B13-generation Nissan Sentra arrived for the 1991 model year, replacing the boxy B12 with a more rounded, aerodynamic design. While the SE-R variant captured enthusiast attention, the 1.6-litre models served as the reliable, fuel-efficient core of the range, featuring the advanced GA16DE engine with dual overhead cams and sequential fuel injection. Known for its robust mechanicals and simple maintenance, the B13 platform was so successful that it remained in production in Mexico as the Tsuru until 2017. Today, standard 1.6 models are increasingly rare in good condition, valued by collectors for their period-correct simplicity and legendary durability.
