About the Nissan Sentra B16
The B16-generation Nissan Sentra debuted for the 2007 model year, representing a significant departure from its predecessor by moving to the Renault-Nissan C platform. This shift resulted in a much larger vehicle, so spacious that the EPA classified it as a mid-size car despite its compact market positioning. The 2.0 trim introduced the all-new MR20DE engine, which prioritised low-end torque and fuel efficiency over outright performance. While it lacked the enthusiast appeal of the SE-R models, the B16 was praised for its interior innovations like the 'Divide-N-Hide' trunk system and its comfortable, refined ride quality.
