About the Ford Granada Mk3

The third-generation Ford Granada, known as the Scorpio in continental Europe, was a radical departure for Ford's executive flagship. Launched in 1985 as a sleek five-door hatchback, it prioritised aerodynamics and safety, becoming the first volume production car in Europe to feature anti-lock brakes (ABS) as standard across the entire range. The 1990 2.0 GL features the improved DOHC engine, which replaced the aging Pinto unit to offer better refinement and efficiency. While once a common sight on British motorways, survivors are now increasingly rare, making well-preserved examples sought after by modern classic enthusiasts.
