About the Morgan Aero 8
The Aero 8 represented a radical departure for Morgan, being the first model to feature an aluminium chassis and independent suspension rather than the traditional steel ladder frame and sliding pillars. The Series 2 and 3 models, produced around 2005, utilised the BMW N62 V8 engine, providing effortless performance in a car weighing little more than a tonne. Its distinctive 'cross-eyed' front styling was later revised, but these early cars remain the purest expression of Morgan's modern era. The driving experience is visceral, characterized by a lack of electronic driver aids and a direct connection to the road.
