About the Mitsubishi Space Star

The Mitsubishi Space Star was a compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) designed specifically for the European market and manufactured at the NedCar plant in the Netherlands. Sharing its platform with the Mitsubishi Carisma and Volvo S40, it offered a taller roofline and more flexible interior space than a standard hatchback. The 1.3-litre variant served as the entry-level model, prioritising fuel economy and urban utility over outright performance. While it lacked the flair of some rivals, its reliability and clever packaging made it a sensible choice for small families during the early 2000s.
