About the Mitsubishi Shogun Sport
The second-generation Shogun Sport (known globally as the third-generation Pajero Sport) arrived in the UK in 2018 as a rugged alternative to car-based family SUVs. Based on the L200 pick-up's ladder-frame chassis, it features the sophisticated Super Select II 4WD system with a locking centre differential and low-range gearing. While its on-road manners are often described as ponderous and unrefined compared to monocoque rivals, it excels in towing and serious off-roading. It served as a functional bridge in Mitsubishi's line-up until the brand's withdrawal from the UK market in 2021.
