About the Dodge Ramcharger
The second-generation Dodge Ramcharger was a full-size SUV based on a shortened version of the Dodge D-Series pickup chassis. For the 1988 model year, the 5.2-litre (318 ci) V8 received electronic fuel injection, significantly improving reliability and drivability over previous carburetted versions. Unlike its rival, the Ford Bronco, the Ramcharger featured a non-removable steel roof after 1981, providing a quieter and more rigid cabin. It remains a cult classic for its 'Mopar' heritage and robust, mechanical simplicity.
