About the Audi A6 Allroad C5

Launched at the 2000 Geneva Motor Show, the C5-generation Allroad Quattro was Audi's answer to the growing SUV trend, blending the refinement of the A6 Avant with genuine light off-road capability. It featured a sophisticated four-level air suspension system that could raise the ride height to 208mm, alongside flared wheel arches and unpainted bumpers for a rugged aesthetic. The 2.5-litre V6 TDI was the workhorse of the range, offering a robust 370 Nm of torque suited for towing and long-distance cruising. While complex to maintain, it remains a cult classic for its unique 'Ur-allroad' status and versatile engineering.
