About the Maserati 3200 GT
The 3200 GT marked Maserati's return to form under Ferrari ownership, replacing the boxy Shamal with elegant curves designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. It is powered by a developed version of the 3.2-litre twin-turbocharged V8 from the Quattroporte IV, delivering explosive mid-range torque. The car is most famous for its distinctive LED 'boomerang' rear lights, which were a production first but ultimately led to the car's replacement in the US market due to safety regulations. It offers a more visceral, old-school turbocharged driving experience compared to the naturally aspirated 4200 GT that followed.
