About the Lexus GX J150
The second-generation Lexus GX, known as the J150, debuted for the 2010 model year as a more powerful and refined successor to the GX 470. Based on the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, it retains a traditional body-on-frame construction and full-time four-wheel drive, making it one of the few luxury SUVs with genuine off-road credentials. The 4.6-litre 1UR-FE V8 engine provides smooth, linear power, while the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) helps manage body roll on-road and increases wheel articulation off-road. It is highly regarded by collectors and overlanders for its exceptional build quality and long-term reliability.
