About the Lexus GX J250
The third-generation Lexus GX, designated J250, represents a radical departure from its predecessor's soft-edged styling in favour of a rugged, 'Minecraft-esque' aesthetic. Built on the GA-F body-on-frame platform shared with the LX 600 and Land Cruiser 300, it replaces the long-running 4.6-litre V8 with a more potent 3.4-litre twin-turbo V6. While it retains legendary off-road hardware like a Torsen limited-slip centre differential and low-range gearing, the interior is thoroughly modernised with a 14-inch touchscreen and refined materials. It remains one of the few luxury SUVs to offer genuine heavy-duty towing capacity alongside serious trail-conquering credentials.
