About the BYD Seal U
The BYD Seal U DM-i Design represents the brand's first plug-in hybrid offering in the European market, positioned as a premium D-segment SUV. Unlike many PHEVs, the 'Super DM' system prioritises electric propulsion, using its 1.5-litre turbocharged engine primarily as a generator or for high-speed cruising. The Design trim is the range-topper, featuring a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup that significantly improves performance over the front-drive Boost variant. It utilises BYD's signature cobalt-free Blade Battery technology, housed within a chassis designed for comfort and family utility.
