About the Lancia Aprilia
The Lancia Aprilia was a revolutionary family car that debuted in 1937, just weeks after the death of founder Vincenzo Lancia. It was one of the first production cars designed using a wind tunnel, achieving a remarkably low drag coefficient of 0.47 for its era. The car featured advanced engineering including a unitary monocoque body, all-independent suspension, and a compact narrow-angle V4 engine. Its signature pillarless four-door design allowed for exceptionally easy access to the cabin, a hallmark of Lancia's innovative approach to packaging and luxury.
