About the Pagani Zonda C12
Unveiled at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show, the Zonda C12 was the debut production model from Horacio Pagani, a former Lamborghini engineer. It features a carbon-fibre monocoque and a mid-mounted Mercedes-Benz M120 V12 engine, a combination that prioritised structural rigidity and lightweight agility over raw power. The design was heavily influenced by Group C Silver Arrows racing cars, most notably in its circular quad-exhaust arrangement and fighter-jet-inspired cockpit. As the purest expression of the Zonda, the original 6.0-litre C12 is now an exceptionally rare collector's item, with most early chassis having been returned to the factory for later S or F specification upgrades.
