About the Lamborghini Islero

Introduced at the 1968 Geneva Motor Show, the Islero was the successor to the 400 GT 2+2 and shared its 3.9-litre V12 engine and chassis. Its understated, angular bodywork was designed by Mario Marazzi, formerly of Carrozzeria Touring, providing a more conservative alternative to the radical Miura. The car offered a refined grand touring experience with a spacious interior and excellent visibility, though build quality was initially inconsistent. It remains one of the rarest production Lamborghinis, prized by collectors for its elegance and mechanical pedigree.
