About the Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2
The 400 GT 2+2 was the definitive evolution of Ferruccio Lamborghini's first production car, the 350 GT. Reworked by Carrozzeria Touring, it featured a slightly taller roofline and a lowered floorpan to accommodate two rear seats, making it a true grand tourer. Under the bonnet sat the legendary Bizzarrini-designed V12, enlarged to 3.9 litres, paired with a new in-house Lamborghini five-speed gearbox that was significantly smoother than the earlier ZF units. Its understated elegance and mechanical sophistication proved that the young tractor magnate could indeed build a better GT than Enzo Ferrari.
