About the Kia Pegas
The Kia Pegas, also known as the Soluto in some markets, was introduced in 2017 as an entry-level subcompact sedan positioned below the Rio. Manufactured in China by the Yueda Kia joint venture, it was specifically developed to offer affordable mobility in emerging markets like Egypt, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. It utilises the proven Hyundai-Kia PB platform, prioritising interior space and a generous 475-litre boot capacity over high-performance metrics. The 1.4-litre Kappa engine is tuned for fuel efficiency and reliability, making it a popular choice for first-time buyers and fleet operators.
