About the Geely CK

The Geely CK, also known as the Freedom Cruiser, was a subcompact saloon that marked Geely's early efforts to expand into international markets. Its design was heavily influenced by contemporary Mercedes-Benz styling, particularly the W203 C-Class, though it was built on a platform derived from the Toyota Corolla. The 1.5-litre engine was a reverse-engineered Toyota 5A-FE unit, providing modest performance for budget-conscious buyers. While it achieved significant sales in developing markets, it became notorious for poor safety ratings in Latin NCAP crash testing.
