About the Kia K9 RJ
The second-generation Kia K9, marketed as the K900 in North America, represents the brand's most ambitious attempt to compete with established European luxury flagships. Built on the same platform as the Genesis G90, the RJ generation features a significantly more rigid chassis and a sophisticated multi-link suspension setup. The 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6, shared with the Stinger GT, provides effortless acceleration, while the cabin is defined by high-quality Nappa leather and a Maurice Lacroix analogue clock. Despite its technical competence and high level of standard equipment, it remained a niche choice in Western markets compared to its domestic success in South Korea.
