About the Jaguar S-Type

Launched to evoke the spirit of the 1960s S-Type, the X200-generation Jaguar S-Type was built on the Ford DEW98 platform shared with the Lincoln LS. The 2004 model year benefited from a significant 2002 facelift that replaced the interior's 'U-shaped' console with a more premium design and introduced the ZF six-speed automatic transmission. The 3.0-litre AJ-V6 engine provides smooth, linear power, though the car is best known for its supple ride quality rather than outright sportiness. As a collector prospect, the SE trim offers the classic wood-and-leather ambiance that defined Jaguar's turn-of-the-century aesthetic.
