About the Isuzu TF
The Isuzu TF, known in Japan as the Faster and previously sold in the UK as the Bedford or Vauxhall Brava, represents the final evolution of Isuzu's third-generation compact pickup before the D-Max era. By 2003, the 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine had been upgraded with an intercooler to produce 99 bhp, providing the necessary torque for its one-tonne payload and two-tonne towing capacity. It is built on a traditional ladder-frame chassis with a leaf-sprung rear live axle, prioritising durability and off-road utility over passenger comfort. For collectors and enthusiasts, the TF is valued for its mechanical simplicity and 'bulletproof' reputation, often surviving in harsh working environments where more complex modern trucks fail.
