About the Isuzu Axiom
The Isuzu Axiom was a bold attempt to bridge the gap between traditional body-on-frame SUVs and the emerging crossover market. Derived from the Rodeo chassis, it featured a distinctive, knife-edged design penned by Shiro Nakamura, who later designed the Nissan GT-R. Despite its advanced 'Intelligent Suspension Control' and 'Torque-On-Demand' systems, the Axiom struggled to find an audience against more refined car-based rivals. It remains a cult curiosity today, notable for being one of the last passenger vehicles developed by Isuzu before their exit from the North American market.
