About the Chevrolet Montana

The second-generation Chevrolet Montana, launched in late 2010, marked a significant shift by moving from the Corsa C platform to the Agile-based architecture. Known as the 'Tornado' in Mexico and the 'Utility' in South Africa, it was designed primarily for the Latin American market where compact pickups are essential for urban commerce. The 1.4-litre EconoFlex engine was a staple, offering flex-fuel capability to run on either petrol or ethanol, a necessity in Brazil. While its styling was polarising compared to the sleek first generation, it offered a larger cargo bed and improved cabin ergonomics for daily work duties.
