About the Isuzu Bellett
Launched in 1964, the Isuzu Bellett GT was a pioneer of the Japanese performance scene, predating the more famous GT-R and 2000GT monikers. It featured a lower roofline than the standard sedan and was the first Japanese production car equipped with front disc brakes. Its sophisticated chassis utilized fully independent suspension—a rarity for its class at the time—giving it a handling edge that made it a favorite in domestic motorsport. While Isuzu is now known for trucks, the Bellett GT remains a highly respected JDM classic for its Italian-inspired styling and technical ambition.
