About the Honda WR-V
The first-generation Honda WR-V (Winsome Runabout Vehicle) was developed as a subcompact crossover specifically for emerging markets like Brazil and India. Based on the third-generation Fit/Jazz platform, it features a significantly revised front fascia, increased ground clearance of 188mm, and a reinforced suspension system to handle rougher roads. In the South American market, the 1.5-litre FlexOne engine allows for operation on both petrol and ethanol, providing versatility for local fuel availability. While it shares the 'Magic Seats' and interior practicality of the Jazz, its muscular cladding and elevated driving position cater to the growing demand for SUV styling in a compact footprint.
