About the Hyundai ix35 LM
The Hyundai ix35, known as the second-generation Tucson in other markets, was a pivotal model for the brand's European expansion, replacing the boxy Tucson with 'Fluidic Sculpture' styling. The 1.7-litre CRDi engine was the volume seller in the UK, offering a balance of economy and sufficient torque for family duties. In Premium trim, the ix35 was notably well-equipped for its class, featuring a panoramic sunroof and heated seats as standard. While it prioritised value and practicality over driving dynamics, its five-year warranty and high equipment levels made it a major competitor to the Nissan Qashqai.
