About the Honda S-MX

The Honda S-MX was the fourth member of Honda's 'Creative Mover' series, specifically targeted at a younger Japanese demographic. Its distinctive, asymmetrical 3+1 door layout and boxy proportions maximized interior volume on a compact footprint shared with the contemporary CR-V. The cabin is famous for its 'bench-to-bed' seating, which allows both rows to fold completely flat into a double bed. While not a performance vehicle, its B20B engine provides reliable urban pep, and its cult status has grown due to its unique 'love specification' marketing and utilitarian charm.
