About the Holden Torana SL/R 5000 LH
The Holden Torana SL/R 5000 (LH) was the first Torana to be designed entirely in Australia, moving away from its Vauxhall-derived roots to accommodate a powerful 5.0-litre V8. Distinguished by its front and rear spoilers and bold 'SL/R 5000' decals, it served as the base for the legendary L34 homologation special. While the standard SL/R 5000 was a potent road car, its primary purpose was to provide the foundation for Holden's assault on the Bathurst 1000. Today, it is a highly prized Australian muscle car, celebrated for its raw character and significant motorsport heritage.
