About the GMC Syclone
The GMC Syclone was a radical departure from the utility-focused pickup market, developed in collaboration with Production Automotive Services. It utilised a turbocharged 4.3-litre LB4 V6 and a BorgWarner all-wheel-drive system to deliver supercar-rivalling acceleration, famously beating a Ferrari 348 ts in a Car and Driver comparison test. Despite its performance, it was strictly a street machine with a payload capacity of just 227 kg and a warning against off-road use. Its brief production run and sinister all-black aesthetic have made it a definitive 1990s cult classic.
