About the Ford StreetKa
Launched in 2003 with a marketing campaign fronted by Kylie Minogue, the StreetKa was Ford's attempt to turn the quirky Ka city car into a stylish two-seater roadster. Designed and manufactured by Pininfarina in Italy, it featured a unique body with only the bonnet and headlights shared with the standard hatchback. While its 1.6-litre 8-valve engine was modest in output, the car excelled in handling thanks to a wider track, stiffened suspension, and a quick-ratio steering rack. It remains a cult classic for its distinctive 'New Edge' styling and engaging, chuckable driving dynamics.
