About the Fiat Regata
The Fiat Regata was the three-box saloon derivative of the Ritmo hatchback, designed to compete with the likes of the Ford Orion and Volkswagen Jetta. The 100 Super was the range-topping performance model, featuring a 1.6-litre twin-cam engine derived from the legendary Aurelio Lampredi design. It offered a surprisingly spirited driving experience for a family car, aided by its light kerb weight and rev-happy Italian powerplant. Today, the Regata is exceptionally rare due to low survival rates, making well-preserved 100 Super models highly sought after by Italian car enthusiasts.
