About the Fiat Marea
Launched in 1996 to replace the Tempra, the Fiat Marea was the saloon and estate sibling to the Bravo and Brava hatchbacks. It shared their distinctive 'bio-design' aesthetic and C1 platform, offering a more refined and spacious alternative for families. The 1.6-litre 16-valve engine was the mainstay of the range, providing a balance of economy and adequate performance for motorway cruising. While it was a common sight in the late 1990s, survival rates in the UK have plummeted, making well-preserved examples a rare curiosity today.
