About the Fiat 525

The Fiat 525 was introduced in 1928 as the successor to the 512, representing the pinnacle of Fiat's luxury offerings during the interwar period. It featured a smooth 3.7-litre side-valve straight-six engine and was available in various body styles including saloons, torpedoes, and landaulets. The model was significant for its mechanical refinement and was later evolved into the 525 S and 525 SS performance variants. Its prestige was cemented when a modified version was gifted to Pope Pius XI, becoming the first 'Popemobile'.
