About the Fiat 524
The Fiat 524 was introduced in 1931 as a larger, more luxurious evolution of the 522, sharing its sophisticated 2.5-litre inline-six engine. It was produced in two wheelbase lengths, the 524 C (Cabriolet/Coupe) and the longer 524 L (Lunga), catering to Italy's growing professional class. While the 524 C featured a more compact and sporting body, the L version was often used as a formal limousine. The model was also produced under licence in Poland as the Polski-Fiat 524, cementing Fiat's international influence during the interwar period.
