About the Fiat 515
The Fiat 515 was introduced in 1931 as a mid-sized offering that utilised a unique 'hybrid' construction for the era. It paired the economical 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine from the smaller 514 model with the larger, more comfortable chassis and bodywork of the flagship 522. This combination was designed to offer luxury-car proportions and interior space without the high running costs or tax burden of a larger engine. Production was relatively short-lived, ending in 1935, making it a rare sight in the modern classic market compared to its more common siblings.
