About the Fiat 507

The Fiat 507 was introduced in 1926 as a more sophisticated successor to the popular 505, featuring a strengthened chassis and the addition of four-wheel braking. It utilised a 2.3-litre side-valve engine that produced a modest 35 hp, sufficient for a top speed of approximately 77 km/h. Despite its technical improvements, the 507 struggled to find a market niche, positioned awkwardly between the mass-market 505 and the more prestigious six-cylinder 520. Consequently, production was limited to just 3,700 units over its short two-year run, making it a rare sight today. Collectors value the 507 for its robust construction and its role in Fiat's transition toward more modern mechanical standards in the late 1920s.
