About the Fiat 502
Introduced in 1923, the Fiat 502 was a more substantial and refined version of the successful 501, featuring a chassis lengthened by 100mm to provide greater passenger comfort. It shared the robust 1.5-litre side-valve engine of its predecessor but offered a more modern aesthetic with curved bonnet lines and improved weather protection. As one of the first models produced at the landmark Lingotto factory, it represented Fiat's transition toward large-scale industrial manufacturing. Collectors value the 502 for its mechanical simplicity, reliability, and its role as a quintessential Italian touring car of the mid-1920s.
