About the Fiat 131

The Fiat 131 Supermirafiori arrived in 1978 as part of the Series 2 facelift, introducing the legendary Lampredi-designed twin-overhead camshaft engine to the mainstream range. Distinguished by its large rectangular headlights and upgraded interior, the Supermirafiori offered a more premium experience than the standard OHV Mirafiori. It was a highly successful global platform, famously serving as the basis for the triple World Rally Championship-winning Abarth variants. Today, the 1600 Supermirafiori is valued by collectors for its rev-happy Italian character and its role in Fiat's golden era of rear-wheel-drive saloons.
