About the Fiat 126

Launched in 1972 as the successor to the legendary Fiat 500, the 126 retained the rear-engine, air-cooled layout but introduced a more modern, angular body designed by Sergio Sartorelli. The 650 trim, introduced in 1977, featured a slightly larger 652cc engine that improved torque and drivability for city use. While production ended in Italy in 1980, the model achieved legendary status in Poland as the 'Maluch', where it remained in production until 2000. For collectors, the 126 offers a raw, mechanical driving experience with surprising urban agility and a massive enthusiast following across Europe.
