About the Citroën Acadiane

Introduced in 1977 as a successor to the 2CV AK400 van, the Acadiane combined the front end of the Citroën Dyane with the rear cargo box of its predecessor. It offered improved aerodynamics and a slightly higher top speed than the 2CV-based vans, though it remained a slow and steady utilitarian vehicle. The Acadiane featured a longer wheelbase than the Dyane and was equipped with heavy-duty suspension to handle a 475kg payload. While never officially sold in the UK, it remains a popular choice for collectors seeking a quirky, reliable French commercial classic with a distinctive corrugated roof.
