About the Zastava 750

The Zastava 750 was a Yugoslavian-built version of the Fiat 600, produced under licence in Kragujevac, Serbia. Introduced in 1962 as an upgrade to the 600-derived Zastava 600, the 750 featured a slightly larger 767cc engine and became the most common sight on Yugoslav roads for decades. It played a crucial role in the country's transition to a motorised society, earning the affectionate nickname 'Fića'. While basic and slow by modern standards, its rear-engine layout and simple mechanics made it durable and easy to maintain.
