About the Dodge Monaco

The third-generation Dodge Monaco represents the final era of Chrysler's massive C-body platform before the 1977 downsizing. Powered by the reliable 360 cubic-inch 'LA' V8, it offered a smooth, isolated ride typical of 1970s American luxury sedans. While it faced stiff competition from Ford and GM, the Monaco earned lasting fame as the preferred vehicle for law enforcement, both in reality and on screen. Its imposing presence and robust mechanicals make it a popular choice for collectors of 1970s Americana.
