About the Dodge Charger SRT8 LX
The 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8 marked the revival of the legendary nameplate, reimagined as a high-performance four-door saloon on the LX platform. Developed by Chrysler's Street and Racing Technology division, it features a bored-out 6.1-litre HEMI V8 that produces significantly more power than the standard 5.7-litre unit. It is distinguished by its aggressive functional hood scoop, 20-inch forged wheels, and Brembo brakes. While it shares architecture with the Chrysler 300C, the SRT8 is tuned for a more visceral, muscle-car driving experience with stiffer suspension and a louder exhaust note.
