About the Cadillac CTS-V
The second-generation Cadillac CTS-V was a watershed moment for American performance, famously becoming the first production saloon to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife in under eight minutes. At its heart lies the LSA V8, a slightly detuned version of the Corvette ZR1's supercharged engine, delivering relentless torque through a choice of manual or automatic gearboxes. Unlike its predecessor, the 'V2' featured sophisticated Magnetic Ride Control and Brembo brakes, allowing it to match the refinement of European rivals like the BMW M5. It remains a cult favourite for its 'Art and Science' design language and its status as one of the last great manual-transmission super-saloons.
