About the Buick Envision
Introduced to the North American market for the 2016 model year, the first-generation Buick Envision was a significant milestone as the first Chinese-manufactured GM vehicle sold in the US. Positioned between the Encore and Enclave, it targeted the premium compact crossover segment with a focus on cabin quietness and ride comfort. The 2.0T variant featured a sophisticated twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system and the LTG Ecotec engine, providing competitive performance for its class. While it initially faced scrutiny for its origin, it became a global success, particularly in China where it reached major production milestones.
