About the BMW Z4 G29
The G29-generation Z4 marked a significant shift for BMW's roadster, abandoning the heavy folding metal hardtop of its predecessor in favour of a lighter, faster-operating fabric roof. Developed alongside the Toyota GR Supra, the Z4 M40i features the acclaimed B58 straight-six engine, providing a smooth yet potent power delivery that defines the car's character. While it shares a platform and powertrain with its Japanese sibling, the Z4 is tuned for a more grand-touring-oriented experience, offering a high-quality interior and composed handling. It remains one of the last traditional front-engined, rear-drive German roadsters before the industry's shift toward electrification.
