About the BMW X3 G45
The G45 generation marks a significant design shift for BMW's best-selling SUV, adopting a cleaner, 'monolithic' exterior and a tech-focused interior featuring the BMW Curved Display and Operating System 9. The 20 xDrive serves as the entry-level petrol variant, utilising a 2.0-litre B48 engine augmented by a 48V mild-hybrid system integrated into the eight-speed Steptronic gearbox. While it shares the CLAR platform with its predecessor, the G45 is wider and lower, offering improved handling dynamics and a more planted stance. The M Sport trim remains the most popular choice in the UK, adding aggressive styling, larger wheels, and a firmer suspension setup.
