About the BMW i3
The 120Ah represents the final battery evolution of BMW's radical i3, nearly doubling the range of the 2013 original. Built around a unique 'LifeDrive' architecture, it features a carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) passenger cell mounted on an aluminium chassis to offset the weight of its batteries. Its avant-garde design, featuring rear-hinged 'suicide' doors and a sustainable interior made of kenaf and eucalyptus wood, remains a standout in the EV market. While production ended in 2022, it remains highly regarded for its agile handling, tight turning circle, and innovative construction.
