About the Bedford HA
The Bedford HA was one of the most common sights on British roads for two decades, serving as the backbone for small businesses and the General Post Office. Based on the Vauxhall Viva HA floorpan and mechanicals, it offered a simple, rugged solution for light deliveries with a 6cwt (300kg) payload capacity. While basic and prone to rust, its longevity in production—outlasting the car it was based on by 17 years—cemented its status as a cult classic. Today, surviving examples are rare and highly sought after by collectors of vintage commercial vehicles.
