About the Bedford Brava

The Bedford Brava was a rebadged third-generation Isuzu TF (Faster), introduced in 1988 to replace the ageing KB. It represented the final light commercial vehicle to carry the historic Bedford nameplate before General Motors transitioned the brand to Vauxhall in 1990. The 2.5-litre naturally aspirated diesel engine, sourced from Isuzu, was prized for its mechanical simplicity and longevity, though it offered modest performance compared to its Ford P100 rival. Today, surviving Bedford-badged examples are exceptionally rare in the UK, often having been worked to exhaustion or succumbed to corrosion.
